The Society of Paranormal Research (SPR)
A new logo to finalize our new initiative
The logo was approved with a unanimous vote and will be featured on all club correspondence, documentation, and online presence. A "flat" version of the new logo also exists for tailored materials such as shirts and banners.
The logo was designed and developed by former President Jason Bristol during the course of several meetings and discussions with members during the Spring 2014 semester. Here is what he has to say about the new logo:
After much deliberation with the club and the E-Board it became increasingly clear what elements we wanted to incorporate in the new logo. The twin crescents, the alchemical symbols for Spirit of Mercury, to Pinch, and to Take that spell out SPR, the alchemical symbol in the center representing Antimony, and finally the colors of purple and gold all serve to add a layer of mystery, uniqueness, and nobility to our club. For me this logo invokes the desire to learn more, and I think that desire is what drives our club to explore the world around us.
The logo has already received much attention and will be featured on our table banner for the upcoming club fair in the Fall.
Along with the welcoming of the new logo and our end of the year bash was the celebration of SPR's newest graduates!

Although our graduates are no longer undergraduates they will always be a part of the club! Justin and Jeff will continue to be in touch and Jason will be present at meetings and continue his role as Webmaster.
In addition to our graduates we would like to honor George Anastasas for his dedication and continued support of the club! George will be transferring to the University of Connecticut (UCONN) to be a part of their Chemistry program, and will be sorely missed! We hope only the best for him and his new adventure!
